Introduction
PeraPeraChat is an AI translation chat service that can be used without installation, just with a browser. It is useful for conversations in your native language during overseas travel or customer service scenes.
How to Use AI Translation Chat
1. Profile Settings
Set your language, tone, and gender in advance on the Profile Edit page. You can change the tone and gender during the chat.2. Invite to Chat
#### Direct Invitation Use this when you want to chat with an individual. 1. Press the New button at the bottom of the screen. 2. Show the displayed QR code to the person you want to chat with. You can also send the invitation URL via email, etc. 3. The chat room is automatically created when the other person enters.
#### Create Chat Room and Invite Use this when you want to chat in a group. 1. Create a chat room first from the Create Chat Room in the sidebar menu. 2. Invite others using the QR code display or invitation URL within the chat room.
You can also invite other users to the chat room after a direct invitation. The difference between the above methods is whether the chat room is created when the other person enters or you create the chat room first, but the chat room mechanism itself is the same.
3. The Other Party Enters the Chat
- The other party opens the entry page from the QR code or invitation URL. - Set name, language, tone, and gender to enter and start the chat.
#### Differences Between Guests and Logged-in Users

> Common Note: The language cannot be changed after entering the chat. If you want to change it, please create a new chat.
4. Send Messages and Check Translations
- Sent messages are automatically translated by AI into the recipient's language. - If the same language is used, it is displayed as is without translation. - You can mutually confirm the content with the "Original ↔ Translation" toggle of the message. - You can delete sent messages with the Delete button.
> Before executing the translation, the content of the message is checked by the OpenAI Moderation API. If the content of the message violates OpenAI's policy, it will not be translated and an error will occur.
5. Chat Settings and Exit
You can operate from the menu at the top right of the chat page.
- Chat Settings: Change tone, gender, and memo (only for logged-in users)
#### Ending the Chat - The chat creator (owner) can end the chat. - When the chat is ended, participants in the chat will no longer be able to send messages. - The chat will remain in the chat list as an ended chat.
#### Exiting the Chat - Users other than the owner can exit the chat. - After exiting, it will be hidden from the chat list. - Guest users who are not logged in cannot perform the exit process.

- After sending a message, it counts as one time when it is translated into the recipient's language. - In group chats, when there are multiple users and multiple languages, translation is executed for each language, so it counts for each language. - If the recipient uses the same language, no translation is executed, so it is not counted. - If you exceed the limit, you will not be able to create or send, and it will reset at 0:00 (JST) the next day. - These numbers may change in future operations.

How to View the Home Screen
- The Home Screen displays a list of chats you have created/participated in. - The number of unread messages is displayed for each chat. - Executing "Exit Chat" will hide it from the list.
Settings and Notifications
- On the Settings Screen, you can check the following menus and your current usage status. - Profile Edit: Change nickname, avatar, and initial language settings - Notification Settings: Turn push notifications and email notifications ON/OFF - On iOS/Android, if you add it to the home screen, you can receive push notifications like a regular messaging app, and the number of unread messages will be displayed on the badge. Please try adding it to your home screen.
